Say you have a ball rolling across a hard floor, and then it rolls into a pool of water...

Can the friction and weight of the ball be changed as it enters the water WHILE it's in motion?

I'm using A6 Pro 6.31
( because I just CAN'T believe they took out 'flare'!!! )

Any help is greatly appreciated

- Jason

i think it should work, just call phent_stefriction and see waht happen.
and becasue flare:
open the pic in gimp, create a mask with the option grey-scale picture of the image and then save the image as a tga...and you got your nice flare effect

Thanks scorpion, theres other aspects that would change too, not just the friction... such as it's weight/mass etc...

But well try some things, and if all else fails, well try to fake it

As for flare, i'll try to stay off the soapbox mostly... i'd rather click a checkbox than make tga's for 100's of sprites and models .. Not to forget... the Flare option was already a part of the engine...no work needs to be done to KEEP a feature .. so much for an 'easy' game engine

Have you tried to add some code for phent_setmass and phent_setdamping? That might do it for ya.

No, not yet... to be clear, i was asking first if it was possible so no time would be wasted trying if it's impossible.

I appreciate the replies, as it gives a good place to start

THANK YOU
