Hi,

I've been playing around with MMX and 3DNow! for some time now, I was wandering if that tech can be adapted to the 3DGamestudio?

Thanks.

you would have to do that in c++, write a plugin for 3dgs. what do you need them for?

Well, I know they can be wrote in C++, the reason behind my asking is that I'm lowering the system requirements 32/64/128Mb systems (of the game I'm creating), which doesn't require the higher system requirements, Intel Pentium D, AMD2 PCIE etcetera. I understand some if not very little of Radeon and Nvidia .

DirectX uses MMX for sure, and if I remember right also 3DNow. Still, it's too slow to run an app without 3D hardware.

Thanks, guess I'll have to scrape up some money and hire a core team.

you should have a look at sse/sse2(/sse3/sse4) which are available on "older" machines (not the latter ones). games mostly need floating point instructions and 3dnow! is way slower.
