Hi I got another question How can I export a model from med in .mdl7 to .3ds with it's mesh file wor textures with it?? becuse when I export it in .3ds it gives me only the model not the textures and when I try putting the textures back on it with another modeling software I get the textures in the wrong spot the model has been mapped in med and now can't in the other modeling software so I need a way to convert the model from med to .3ds formate with the texture map with it. How can I get this done??

MED should export UVW coordinates. Check if your texture is BMP or PXM not JPG (newer versions of 3dgs supports jpeg)

Ya it's in a bmp I have no problem exporting the 3d model just the testures of the model, like uv mapping it I export it in .3ds and import it to another 3d modeling software and when I open it in the other 3d mdoeling software not med it load's the model and also the map but the map turn's out to be black and then it turn the model invisiable, like in the software when you have a black texture you can assign it to be invisiable so it did this automatily, I switch it off and the 3d model was a normal grey model.
I tried converting the UV map textures to different formate's but still has the same effect.

im not sure, but i heard that some modeling packages rotate the uv-map when exporting.
try re-rotate your texture and apply it in your model package.
or is the uv-map completly messed up? in that case i dont know what to do.
