This will be the last public betatest for Messing Moves. If you participate, you can win one of three full versions of Messing Moves! For more information how to win, take a look at the bottom of the post.
This Beta comes with 10 levels and you can edit, but not save new levels. The full version will come with 50 levels and with it you can create up to 9999 levels by yourself. Here are some screens:

Ingame:

Level Editor:

The Max character will be changed.

New features:
- "Time Trial" or "Normal" mode - youŽve got four minutes to solve a level.
- Gui reworked
- Size optimized. 12.2 MB insteat of >30 MB.
- Reset (Spacebar) to pull all objects at once out of the van. Good for "Time Trial".
- And many, many more...

Before you start to download and play, please read the following hints carefully:

-ThereŽs a bird in the game. Sometimes (at low framerates) he was flying out of the level. Please check if it happens at your PC. The fps are shown at the bottom in the left corner.

-The stencil shadow of the bird was not always right. But now there should not be stencil errors. You can switch on the stencil shadows in the "Tune Panel".

-One time I had a "invalid array" index, when playing around with "levelnumbers" like ac345 or 67sf4 insteat of 345 or 674. The bug should be fixed, but please check this out - just to be save.

-If you own an old pc ( >1000 mhz, old gforce or radeon), please tell me your average framerate. The fps are shown at the bottom in the left corner.

-Sometimes after editing a level I had a error with the "Try" panel. It popŽs up, although there are not all objects in the van. Please check this out.

-You should not only behave like a normal player. Do also some crazy things and try to crash the game.

-Please post any problems in this thread, so that the other testers can see them as well.

-You can make a screenshot by pressing F6.

-The "Homepage" button is switched off in this demo. So donŽt expect to go anywhere when you click on it.

How to win:

When you have solved the 5th level, Messing Moves will write a file in its folder. ItŽs named "parole.txt". Copy the text out of that file and send it to me in a pm. DonŽt post the "parole" here in this threat, or anywhere in the net. Because then, anyone will be able to send it to me. So your chance to win will decrease dramatically. After the betatest IŽll offer the "parole" for all who are curious.

PS.: I know that some of you are waiting for the next "Amoc" - Demo. Be sure, after Xmas IŽve much more time and youŽll get a new demo at february.

Hi,

Very funny game. Level 3... First I thought level 3 should be level 1 because it is much more easy as the levels before. I found the levels before level three are too hard for level 1 and 2. Level one and two should be even possible without any difficulties. I mean even without thinking. Just to understand how to move the parts. To get a feeling how they collide. Anyway... level 3... I said I found it easier as any other level until it was impossible. I guess some furnitures are outside the level or something. Anyway, after I had put into the van all visible items, there was no "try" button.
In level 1 and two the dark brown cupboard was almost outside of the level (very far right side). So I guess in level 3 is some furniture outside. I like the bird and the guy. They are funny. I would keep them. In level 3 I put a furniture on the bird. When the bird tried to start it failed of corse. Maybe that caused the no try button bug.

Funny game. I am missing a little the reason why I should play it. But maybe thats just me.

I can not confirm this. Are you sure that youŽve put all objects into the car? Hint: When you hold the right mousebutton, you can move + zoom the camera. Some objects may be not visible at levelstart.
IŽll change the cameraposition at levelstart. The objects canŽt be created outside. The bird has nothing to do with the "Try" function.

Thanks, good to know. IŽll count you in, you donŽt have to send me the "parole".

Nice tetris like game,
one thing:
the Mipmappping seems to be off, or set too far, especially on
the street.

@Ralph: Thanks for that find! Will be fixed.
EDIT: Here is the fixed level: http://home.arcor.de/braindamaged/9.mlf
Just put it into the MM folder and overwrite the old level 9.

@Damocles: Thanks. Have you tried to set the mipmapping method to "trilinear" (in the tune panel)? IŽll look into this.
Edit: Yes, the street is a block. Have you a horizontal "seam" at the street or is the texture "grainy"? Then the mipmapping doesnŽt work right. It would be good to know if it has something to do with your DirectX settings.

The Mipmapping does not seam to respond to my
changes, the stencil does.

Maybe you have altered the distance of the mipmapping,
Or I have changed something in my DirectX setup...
I suppose the street is a block?
