Not sure where to post this , so I posted here , basically , im trying to install the old 6.22 on my computer because i want my game to run with dx8 and not 9 , my game is a casual game so not having it require the latest dx is what im looking for. My problem is , I downloaded the A6.22 trial , and the A6.22 Extra update , Installed the trial to
program files/gamestudio622 , but then when i try to install the update i get the following error ,File Not Found "C:\Program Files\3D_GAMESTUDIO_622\ackutl.dll" , "Cant update , Err. #161". Anyone know why this is ? The trial seemed to install fine , didnt give me any errors or anything , so I dont know why the file would be missing. I can copy the file from my main installation where I have 6.31 , but unsure of how this would affect the update , as i want a tru 6.22 version installed which uses DX8 , why would I be getting such a problem when i just downloade both the trial and the update earlier today ? Anything Im missing ?

Nevermind my stupidity , I had forgotten to install the key to make the trial a full version , for some reason my mind was thinking installing the 6.22 update would do that : \ Everything is working properly now : )
