i have read the wasser shader topic a bit(not good english) and i have moved the water shader from the topic demos to my own project...
but what i have(also in those demos) is really slow fps.

like here:

when i have the water shader(so with scripts) i have like 30fps. and when i remove my scripts, so i have no shader, i have 160fps...
is there any solution for this except throw the shader in the bin?

Are you compiling the right shader model? I used to compile my own multitexture terrain shader on 2.0 but I only needed 1.0 and after that my level ran sooooo fast.

PS: You got a nice graphics card

those shaders are not made by myself, the terrain is from the templates and the water shader is from the sylex plugin. i think the problem is that the shader uses 2 extra views, because when i disable the views(i really have bad water than ) i have like 25fps more...
maybe someone have a good realtime water shader? i also tried the shader from the demo section of acknex unlimited but that one isn't really realtime and the one from sphere(i tried demo) also lagged...

ps: yeah, it is pretty good. but im going to buy a new one next year when dx10 is out...

A realtime water shader will cost quite some fps, no matter what shader it uses. The main problem is indeed the use of rendering the view more than once, simply to get the true reflections. If you want better fps, you're better off using the fake reflections shader. On my graphics card the hit on fps is little to nothing with Sylex, and with Sphere(demo) is a little bit slower, but still no big hit on the fps.

Cheers
