[SOLVED] - How to deal properly with .DAE files? - 07/30/14 12:43

Hello, everyone

I was surfing the internet for models and I found some models with the format .dae (Collada). I got one. I can import it with Blender ,but it is just the mesh without textures or materials or anything. I am not even sure about the bones (it says it is rigged in the site I got it from)

So, how to properly deal with a .dae model? How to get it in the end as a .mdl file with all the stuff existing (meshes, bones, ... etc.)?

You can import dae files by going to med->import->from fbx.

If blender can't open it properly import it MED won't too. And if blender can't import it, it's probably exported poorly, and dae file actually does not what is missing.
