How is it, that all the good˛ (see below) shows get like 4 episodes followed by a year of break, then 2 more episodes before the show gets axed?
Take Caprica for example, they aired the pilot 9 months before the actual show. Then they aired 9 episodes of the first season. And it still is on break until September (which will most probably be moved forward to spring 2011). And that it will get axed after the remaining 10 episodes air (or even sooner), is probably a no-brainer.
Your first clue would be that a lot of people hate the show because it is "slow" and too much into detail work, without cgitastic action scenes (with exception of the few Holoband scenes). Secondly, who the fuck is going to keep up with a show that only airs randomly?
Or the new Stargate Universe, also more character centered, with less action than it's predecessors. But guess what, after the 4th episode, they went on a fucking break, and just started airing again a few months ago. Fortunately, thanks to the franchise pull, it got a second season. But who knows what they are going to do with that. Maybe air one episode a month at a random day, and only announce it 1 day before.
Another example with V (the new series based on the miniseries), 4 episodes aaand a break. In a season that only has 12 episodes I might add. Which now all have run out. And now the second season is announced for an "yet undetermined date". Most probably something along Winter 2011/Spring 2012.
And then they wonder why the fuck they are losing viewers.
