Strange behaviour with Range Bars - 10/01/15 03:09

Hello,
I was very glad to hear you could override the bars() function in the new version of Zorro, and have finally tried to use it in a script I have been working on.

Well, I copied out the example in the manual for range bars. To me the code looks fine, but when I implement it the bars vary wildly in size (see attached picture).

Do you think it is because the function is only called every tick?

Range bars in fact do vary wildly in size AFAIK. Or maybe there are different definitions of Range bars? Renko bars have a fixed size.

Maybe you are right. I have only ever seen "constant" range bars, and so people just normally refer to them as range bars. I just assumed they were always the constant type (which is what I was after).

No problems though, I will make something up that makes constant range bars and share on the forum.

Sorry it took so long to reply to this post. I have been in hospital.
