Z System Margin

Z System Margin - 01/01/17 16:35

Could someone explain me the meaning of the Margin slider of the Z Strategies.

My understanding is the following:
- MMax parmeter in the Z.ini file means the max value I can adjust with the slider? (can't test it with the demo version)
- Margin slider value would mean the required Margin per trade
- Margin set to 50 -> means 50 baseunit -> means ca. 0.05 lots?
- but how are the max open trades calultated?
- does the strategy involve the available capital to calculate the max open trades?
- or are number of open trades just based on the strategy and I have to make sure, that anough money is on the account?

Ok, let me ask differently:
If I run Z12 Test with Margin set to 50, I get
Capital required: 1847$
- So, is it enough, if I run the strategy with 2000$ on the account
or do I need, let's say the double amount of 4000$, or something else? (just to have more space?)
- If I want to run the strategy with more capital, but don't want to risk more
per trade. Should I just add more assets to the asset list, or is there another
way to achieve this?

Would be cool, if someone could give me some advice!

Hi Nocide.
Your question are answered in the manual much better than I can do, but in short:

- yes its enough
- just do not increase the margin slider and the size of the trade will not increase.
