BRIGHT for panels

I always think that it's possible to set BRIGHT for panels. I think that because to me it makes sense that it'd be possible to add additive blending to them and be done with it, and it's nice for certain effects.
Then, I realize the cold, hard truth: It can be used with entities and particles, but not with panels.

Yes, I could workaround this by using view entities, but in my specific case, I'd rather not.


I hope this is not too crazy a suggestion.
