Hedge default to 4?

Hi jcl,

It appears that with 1.66 Hedge in Z.ini has been changed to 4. It used to be 5 in prior versions.

The manual states a preference for Hedge=5, so I'm wondering why it was changed to 4 in 1.66?

Because Hedge=5 did not work with a few brokers that do not support partial closing. You can normally set it to 5, but for this reason the default is 4.

Thanks. Is there a list of Brokers for which 5 works? Or conversely known to not work?

We have no list. Often it is not even documented by the broker. But you can find out with the TradeTest script. Set Lots to 10, open a position, then set Lots to 5 and close the position. If this fails, your account does not support partial closing.
