Zorro 1.34 - 08/31/15 08:11

A new Zorro version was uploaded:

http://server.conitec.net/down/Zorro_setup.exe

A description of the new features can be found here:

http://manual.zorro-trader.com/new.htm

Please also read the part about updating your system. This version will stay here for a one-week beta test and then become the official release if no problem was found. Z system subscribers will receive new Z3 or Z12 versions in the next days.

A new Z system based on the Workshop 7 machine learning tutorial was included.

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/02/15 06:51

You must not have DEP enabled when running a script. Another user had complained about the same problem, so I've posted a comment under "Brokers". It is unrelated to the update. I suppose that it is just chance that the Windows kernel detects machine code execution with this version more frequently. But it happened with any version.

Thanks jcl. I haven't seen the DEP thingy in the manual.
Now it just starts fine.

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/05/15 08:51

Hi, installing the 1.34 I received the attacched error message in a pop up windows.

-----------------------------

ciao

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/05/15 11:01

Strange. QSetup is the installer used by Zorro. Do you by chance have a demo version of QSetup on your PC? Which Windows version are you using? Does anyone else get such a message?

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/05/15 14:59

I have windows 8.1 pro x64. This is a company PC so some option has update frequencues are handled remotely, but I had no issue installing the old version, and the message seems not related to that.

While you are fixing this, why do not evaluate the opportuinty to release zorro as a zip file i.e. no installer. This will allow easier multiple instance installation i.e. one for one for production and one for test on the same computer.

Thank you

The new Zorro version (1.341) crashes asa I click "trade" or "test"button. Anyone having same issue? I'm on Windows 2003 Server R3 VPS..

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/09/15 18:41

something similar it's happening to me but I thought it was because of my PC (xp 64),
this is what happens:
-testing of Z3 or Z7 it's ok
-testing of Z1/Z2/Z12 crashes just at the end before poping the results. FYI these strategies takes much more time to process than Z3/Z7 because of the amount of trades

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/10/15 10:20

I have the same problem like yosoytrader. When I test a more complex script with WFO and TICKS, at the end just before the result should pop up, Zorro crashes with the attached error message. (The test is on a normal PC and DEP is not enabled)

Can you set Verbose = 14, and post the end of the ...diag.txt here?

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/10/15 16:42

Hmm, this file does not show the crash. Does it only happen with your script, or also with Workshop5_3.c in TICKS mode?

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/11/15 10:23

Workshop5_3.c seems to work with TICKS mode. Also my script does not crash without TICKS mode. Maybe my PC is too old to handle the new 1.34 TICKS implementation with complex scripts :\

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/11/15 11:24

Can you send that script that crashes in TICKS mode to support? A too old PC should normally not be the problem - if there's not enough memory it should terminate with an error message, but not with a crash. But maybe the problem has a different reason.

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/11/15 13:45

I have send the script to support, thanks for your time and help!

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/14/15 07:55

Thanks! The crash was caused by historic price data ending at different times, so that price ticks were missing during the simulation. We'll prepare a fix for this.

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/14/15 14:21

Ok, the fix is available under the "Zorro Beta" link on the Download page. The other issue, with the inaccurate entry price of trades opened in a TMF by a close event, was also reported to be fixed.

Re: Zorro 1.34 - 09/15/15 10:28

Both scripts are working with 1.35. Thanks for fixing! laugh
