Hi jcl.

Just downloaded 1.28 release and installed it over 1.26 on my dev machine. Selected FXCM Demo account & the Download script, and clicked Trade. Download attempts to do 2012 (a little behind the times laugh ), pauses at GER30 after saying the first few are complete, then runs through to Logout, then Zorro hangs. Can you reproduce this behavior?

Thanks.

Yes, downloading 2012 GER30 data from the FXCM server indeed leads to a nonresponsive API. I'll forward this to FXCM. The year for downloading must be set up in the script - I suggest to change that to 2015.

Thanks jcl.

Perhaps as part of your release process the Download script could be updated to the then-current year? laugh

Thanks.

1.28 gives problems in testing the Z1, Z12, Z2. It runs with Z3 but it gives only 42 trades.. All due to price history missing. I tried downloading data with Iron Fx and then FXCM demo accounts, but keeps giving problems.

You must have the price history, otherwise you can't test. If you have problems downloading it from FXCM, get it from the Zorro download page.

Hi all,

Planning to go live with 1.28 over the weekend. Any gotchas to be aware of?

Thanks.

Hi jcl,

1.28 Z3 Tests to less than 1/2 the Margin setting to result in the same CR as 1.26 - can you confirm this?

Also, Z3 Tests to ~140% AR, not the ~200% in the manual. Z12 Tests to ~170/180% which is closer to the posted ~200%...

Thanks.

You can always find the current Z system performance data in your manual. They are correct as to my knowledge, so if you get very different results, apparently something in your test was very different. Your 140% might be caused by a different AssetsFix.dta, or some strange slider settings, or missing historical data.

But you should always be able to reproduce the results from the manual just by using the default settings.

Thanks jcl.

I thought I had used all the correct files, data, & settings (& double-checked them); but I will run again later in the week to re-verify...

Thanks.

Re: Zorro 1.28 available! - 04/01/15 03:26

Hi jcl,

I have refreshed my History with the 2014-2015 download file and Test results are closer - 180%. Referencing the other thread, there is evidently a good reason to load the provided History downloads when new versions are available - perhaps because of gaps introduced by running Download on a frequent basis? Or FXCM cleans their data over time?

What other values should I check? The manual says sliders are at default, but is not specific as to ini values used - Hedge, Phantom, etc.

Thanks.
