Is Zorro only for FXCM? - 10/14/12 21:17
Just downloaded Zorro. It appears the only broker allowed is FXCM. Is that only my impression or is this whole thing a feed into that broker?
If other brokers are allowed how do I change, add new broker?

It is for all brokers that fulfil certain requirements - for details look here:
http://zorro-trader.com/manual/en/brokers.htm. At the moment there's only the FXCM plugin available. Another user is currently working on an IB plugin, and more broker plugins are planned.

I'd love an IB plugin.
Also, FinFx has an API page:
http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/p.php?f=api&ib_entity=llcThey're one of the best brokers, a little too close to Russia, but as safe as Finland can be.
Should we have a thread open on these API projects? The future and the scope of Zorro is quite dependent on the availability of these interfaces.

VantageFX UK would be good, they are stp with really low spreads.

FinFx has decent spreads and is US-friendly. FXCM is a bit high for my liking.

hi, I guess this post may be in the wrong place, I arrived at Zorro project from a trade strategy writing workshop webpage by George Pirvu linked to Randombyte. I have d/ld zorro 1.01. Unusually for me I read the restrictions. Am I right that if I use Zorro at fxcm.co.uk, with my own designed trade signals, that
Zorro has the right to any profits above a limit from any broker where I use those same trade signals. Its hard enough trading without threat of legal recourse ? I am sorry if this sounds negative but I was looking forward to writing trading straegies in C lite. I just want to be absolutely clear what I am legally bound by if I proceed with Zorro bot activity.

Yes, this is a definitive limit and I think it will be seriously enforced. Your Zorro income is limited to $30,000 per year unless you do something for the community, such as learning lite-C and contributing strategies.
