Feature Request: possibility to monitor Zorro from remote - 10/20/14 22:33

I think one of the important things to trade a profitable strategy is a healthy Zorro. For it's popular to run Zorro on a VPS or similar it would be useful to have the possibility to monitor Zorro's functionality in any way from remote. I guess a premium solution would be a SNMP interface but there are many ways to realize monitoring.

Thanks, Sphin

Most VPS run a HTTP service. Place the status page in a web folder and you can monitor your Zorro status anytime from your PC or mobile phone.

- I've just seen that this would work only for your own scripts, but not for the Z systems as they use a fixed web folder. I've put a web folder setting in the ini file on the implementation list for the next version.

This kind of 'manual monitoring' is surely possible just as keeping a remote desktop open to the VPS. But I meant a possibility for an automatic monitoring for the time when the user is not just sitting at his desktop or staring at his mobile. So that you can monitor Zorro with Nagios, Observium or similar tools and become finally alerted by SMS or Mail if something is going wrong.

I see. That makes sense. We'll think about a concept for this and will put it on our implementation schedule.
