Survey on Stability of Zorro In Live Trading - 08/06/17 10:27

Hi there.

Zorro has basicly the following two offerings:
1) Backtesting Tool
2) Live Trading Tool

For the first part, Zorro seems to be a powerful, fast and flexible tool for backtesting trading strategies

But what about robustness in live trading?

To better understand this, would you please fill and post the following mini survey about your experiences on live trading with Zorro?

1) How long do you use Zorro for live trading?
2) How common do you encounter robustness problems (e.g. errors in live trading, wrong execution of trades, Zorro crashes, etc)?
3) How you compare the robustness of Zorro for live trading with some other trading platforms (e.g. MetaTrader)

Thanks

1) Almost 2 years
2) Few errors lets say once every five-six months mainly in brokers plug in. Hard to say if was zorro's or broker fault. Some bugs in Zorro's broker plug-in was found during this period.
3) Cannot compare. While using Zorro's and MT4 as execution platform both platforms performs well under stability point of view. MT4 is, without any doubt, more resources hungry.

Said that I believe that MT4 is intrinsically more stable under the trade execution point of view. MT4 is a client server application and the interface between the broker and the platform are managed by the broker IT department. Usually well structured to provide service to a community of MT4 Traders.
With Zorro's totally a different story: size, sometimes matters!
