Zorro status page showing orders different with Oanda record

Hi,

I have been testing Zorro 1.58's Z12 using Oanda v20 API demo account. However, I have found out some strange behavior. In one instance, after Zorro runs for about 2 weeks or so, after a restart it succedently lost the track of the exiting running orders inside Oanda. Initially, I thought that maybe I have done something wrong or my environment was messed up, so I create a new environment and test it again.

After about 2 weeks running, this issue surfaced again. I have attached some screenshots, in Zorro status page, it only shows up about 12 live orders, but in Oanda desktop application it shows 21 live orders. I don’t know whether Zorro has sent out multiple orders to Oanda or just lost the track of the orders it sent. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Losing track of trades can happen under two circumstances. Either an opened trade was not reported back by the Oanda API. Or the .trd file where Zorro stores its trades was deleted or otherwise lost. You should see in the Zorro log what happened.

Thanks jcl, are you referring to the Z12demo.log file? Unfortunately, I have restarted Zorro so that file was over-written. Do you know whether exiting Zorro incorrectly will cause any issues to the .trd file?

Normally not, unless you pull the plug to the PC just in the moment when Zorro was updating the .trd file. The most frequent reason for not resuming trades is starting a different Zorro from a different folder, without copying the .trd file over. Make a backup copy of the Z12demo.log when it happens again.

thanks jcl, do you know is it possible to configure Zorro to roll the log between restarts?
