Oanda Plugin

Hi,
I have open an Oanda FxTrade Practice account. Got the following token:

520df9feaaefa2c6cf6c7541534040c6-2bc841241a0982472b0a8b0eab704198

inserted into the pwd field, than hit the trade button.

I receive the following error message:

Z12 (oP group) ..
Oanda.dll => Oanda plugin mounted
Login Oanda..
!The access token provided does not allow this request to be made
!No valid account!
Can't connect!

What's wrong?

I can not open a connection with that token either. Maybe some number is missing or wrong, or the account is expired?

Revoked the old one and generated a new token:

I am facing the same issue here, do we need to contact Oanda in order to use our token with Zorro?

Normally not, but I was informed by another user that he had to contact Oanda for getting his token. Maybe it depends on the country from where you opened the account.

Contacted the customer service. Keep you posted. At the moment it does not work.

Here is the Oanda customer service answer. It looks like some information is missing in the loop. What should we do? Ask for old compatible account or wait for an up to date plugin?

Sounds like your project is built on the v1 REST API. Thus new users now only receive v20 accounts and can only be compatible with v20 REST API.

They must contact us and receive a legacy account to work with v1 REST API.

Regrettably we are in a transition period now, but in the future after you migrate your codes to v20 REST API things should be smoother.

Contact them for a legacy account. The V20 API is not yet fully functional - streaming is missing. I didn't know that they already give out tokens for V20.

Done, unfortunately after a proper connection and one demo trade I received the following repetitive message:

!Rate limit violation of newly established connections. Allowed rate: 2 connections per second

I have similar issue trying Z12 with Oanda on practice account:

!USD/JPY not available

The Oanda plugin seems to have some issue:

The message comes out really often and I have not found any explanation on the manual.
The log file becomes huge in short time. I have attached the log after restarting the system.

Yes, this is a known issue - please use the beta version. It has a newer Oanda plugin that is supposed to stay below the rate limit.

I haven't tried the Oanda plugin yet but intend to - does staying below the rate limit affect Trading results?

I'm just starting with Zorro and would like some help getting started.

I'm having issues getting started with Oanda. I've gotten all the preliminary things sorted eg. Legacy Account setup and I can connect because when I select Script: TradeTest -> Trade

i get
!AUD/USD: 0.75523 0.00015 1

If i try Script: Z1 -> Test
I get
Error 055: XXX/XXX 20XX price history missing

IF i try Download -> AUD/USD
Download (oP group) ..
but nothing seems to happen?

IF i try Download -> AUD/USD

Login Oanda V1 demo
!Account 88XXXX at UTC..
but nothing seems to happen?

Sorry I seem to be a bit lost with something that I guess should be straight forward but I can find anything else listed on http://zorro-project.com/manual/en/oanda.htm to get started? Thanks for your help.

Looks like I worked it out.

The Download Control Panel wasn't as intuitive as I expected with the terms Load M1 Data not looking like a button but once I started clicking it I noticed the Download started.
