MT4 version 4.00 Build 765 - 01/19/15 02:32

Trying to configure a VPS at the moment, and have just downloaded MT4 from my broker. I noticed that it is build 765 (DEC 2014). Anyone else encountered this yet? Do we know if it is stable with Zorro or any tweaks required?

Thanks

Hi Thirstywolf

I just encountered this myself after downloading Admiral Markets' MT4 platform. I can't seem to get the Zorro MT4 bridge to work. I get the 'Controlled by Zorro' message in my chart, but the login fails when I click 'Trade' in the Zorro window.

Have you had any success getting it to work?

Hi Boatman,

Apologies it has taken me a while to respond. Mine is working fine. Only issue I have is that I have had 2 orphaned trades already, just running Z12. It appears that Zorro is giving the trades a different identifier to MT4/broker. I have had the occasional orphaned trade in the past, so I am not too concerned just yet. I will continue to monitor this and see how it goes, however MT4 bridge etc is functioning.

Thanks for the reply, Thirstywolf. I'll keep an eye out for orphaned trades if and when I can get the bridge working.

Cheers

We can also confirm that build 765 does work fine, or at least not worse than the previous versions.

The orpahned trade issue is a big one in my eyes. I had this problem both with mt4 and FXCM api access. It should be possible for zorro to read all trades back via the magic number in mt4.

Zorro has a mechanism for preventing orphaned trades with MT4. So they can normally only happen with the FXCM API. If you had an orphaned trade with MT4, please contact Support - they're interested in your log.
