Video \\mode in A8 - 07/25/18 18:19

12 1920x1200, 1920x1080 me -

The above is from the manual on video mode

Are some machines capable of 1 not the other? (unlikely as the
horizontal is the
same - 1920)
Can we specify which screen definition to use? (how)

Hi,
I suppose the engine picks the highest available. If your screen is FHD 16:9, it can't render on the highest.

Salud!

Actually, on further reading, video_switch might override it:

video_switch(12,0,1);

Any thoughts?

Hi!

What exactly do you mean by this:

You want to know, what aspect ratio to use for specific PC or you want to get resolutions supported by the PC?
Maybe both of those questions aren't even related to what you are asking, sorry if that's so grin
You may want to check video_set out. Maybe it might help you out.

Edit: also, for getting info of the current PC configuration, use sys_metrics.

Best regards!

Thanks 3run
video'-set seems to have resolved it - actual screen size in pixels
is what I needed to know.

Thanks again

You are welcome! Also, to get actual screen size in pixels use 'screen_size.x' and 'screen_size.y'.

Best regards!
