saturation/contrast on different resolution?

saturation/contrast on different resolution? - 04/19/18 19:20

I've noticed something very strange... Saturation (or maybe even a bit contrast) getting more intence on bigger resolutions (in full screen). I though that it's caused by pp shader (which is used to reduce saturation etc), but even without shaders, it does get changed. BUT when I tried to make screen shots (via F5) they get all saved correctly? Anyone faced same problem?

Never had this problem. Might be related to GPU scaling or drivers. Do you have any color settings changed in your graphics drivers?

The only similar thing I experienced were games that changed gamma correction which temporarily overrides your windows gamma and color temperature settings. One example would be Unreal Tournament 2k4 (the editor for sure, I think the game does it too)
But this is independent of the resolution.

Edit: do you happen to have an HDR monitor? I never had one but people reported washed out images when displaying non HDR content using the monitors HDR mode.

Hi Kartoffel!

I have AOC G2460PF, which isn't HDR monitor, as far as I know. Also, no color settings changed in graphics driver (all on auto). I use GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. Will you be able to test a little demo, if I upload one ?

sure, though I'm currently on my older backup GPU because my rx480 died smirk
