Christian Game Designer looking for team to help with unique RPG

Hello everyone,

Project 1) Cannot give much details publicly but will be an ongoing series that God will use to bring many people to Christ.
The project is an RPG an will consist of at least 4 programmers and 4 artists.

Pay: Every person on the team will get a good portion of the royalty (so payment comes once the game starts selling) as it will be delegated among the members accordingly.

Here are the positions looking to be filled.

Programmers: Looking for talented Christian Programmers who has a personal relationship with Christ and are able to follow through with the vision that God has given the Lead Designer. Please email digichristworks@gmail.com with a resume and testimony we will get back to you ASAP.

Artists: Looking also for talented Christian artists from concept artists to 3D modelers who can model low-poly humans with clothing. Also looking for GUI artists and all sorts of Artist that can play a multitude of roles. dcworks :- Trust me...there is NO market for christain games..I have made about 3 such games in the past and they all had acceptable quality but it never sells..Dont want to sound discouraging but just letting you know the reality of christian gaming.
If you are not concerned with money or results out of the game, then ofcourse you can go ahead.

Jesus put a specific picture in our Spirit and Whatever the Lord Says....IS and he is the one that has given DigiChristWorks a specific mandate to create a specific game that he wants out so he can do a specific work on the earth....its more than a game. zazang you should contact me later so we can talk, your work is never in vain, The Lord has just told me that he was preparing you so he can give you a key..soon you shall receive a key if you open your heart to receive the good news that God wants to do in your life.

To clear things up delinx the project involves building a game that takes the gospels of Jesus Christ as the primary source of the project, and if a person doesn't believe Jesus is Lord they will be very uncomfortable doing this project. Imagine an atheist or a buddhist working on a game that goes against their belief? So if you see it from that perspective delinx you can see why i stated the requirements in the beginning, in fact the game will be for all to play though so yes Peace and Love is very important. infact the good news delinx is this is not a religious title. DigiChristWorks aren't religious infact Jesus didn't come to bring religion but Life, His Life. Religion is a rule-set that if you break it, you go to hell, but God sent his Son to do everything that we could never do on our own strength so that by his life,death and resurrection we have the power to Live for God and come to him just as we are without rejection because he was rejected, with out being condemned because he was condemned on the cross for us. So now we just receive this gift so we can be saved, its that simple.

For us GAMES are our religion ! u wont find any "Christian" game programmer.. if someone wants to do something it can be done.. if there is a will there is a way.

OT: Well I'm chrstian and guys like you, dcworks, make people turn away from religion, think about it...

Couple of things, one there is no gospel of christ.
two, jesus is not lord he is the son of our lord.
three, an atheist has no beliefs, thus working on your project should not pose a problem.
four, There is no hell, it says in the bible hell is the common grave, not the fire and brimstone you guys usually bash on about.
You say god has spoken to you and given you a mission (blues brothers for the gaming world), this is plain stupid, i very much doubt god has taken time to speak to you. You are in fact in breach of race relation laws by your advertisment, and as such you should pull it.

I never turn away from religion. I alwys appreciate all the religions in their own ways. every one has their own flavors. Let ppl decide by themselves which path to follow. but never critisize or impose a religion. tats wrong.

i'm dissapointed to see that kind of religious separations here. there was no need for you to say that you're looking for <<christian>> employees cause even atheists and muslims could work on that game. let's take for an example...i believe in something above us and i would have no problem working on your game even if i do not consider myself true christian (i'm half christian, half atheist)

humanity should be one and whole but instead it is splitted into a several parts (religiously, by race...)

number two, he never said anything bad about other religions or athiests at all. He simply stated he would like to work with fellow christians on this christian game..... it only makes sense. Think of all those anime games out there, do you think someone wants someone doing the art for there anime games who hates anime?

It's good that everyone follows their own path, but saying it's wrong to critize other beliefs is wrong in itself. There are many often quite obvious problems with a lot of world views.

dcworks, I'm a Christian and I think I am well known in the Christian Game Development community. Even though the Lord may be leading you to do this there is no guarantee of money. "The Lord has just told me" in my opinion lacks fruit, if the Lord is speaking to you then you need to be open that you can get things wrong. If you automatically put yourself in a position where you're 100% right you lose respect from the people you are speaking to, and elect yourself above them. If the vision the Lord has given you is of truth then fruit of your words will follow (at the moment I see lacking), and the vision will be seen and acknowledged by others. You'll find that coming on forums like this and sharing your faith the way you have is very ineffective, I think it's quite imposing.

Seemes to me some guys should be warned for hijacking this thread. Seriously guys if you have a problem with christianity take to the neverending rant in Morbius.
There are many posts for slasher/horror, shooters, porno (even though we are all about "world peace and Love" here) and other games, they don't get closed so this one shouldn't either.
dcworks if God has given you a vision then you are obligated to try do things right. Try to get investers and pay your workers, set up a really tight game design. If you are going to work for the big guy you better work your butt off!

I agree that they have hijacked it, but I am not angry, Jesus did say to turn the other cheek. Right? Right.

If they close it they close it, there is no need to to get angry. If it is "God's game" then it will happen in its time...

I would even help at it if you catch me at the right time, but I'd help anybody on their game, not just Christians.

I can understand you passion to make a game. But I would higly encourage you to consider what I have to say.
I am a christian myself, and I have made a few projects that have had a christian theme to them. First when it comes to business, christianity or God is no guarantee for business success, in fact I see christianity and business extreemly far from each other.
Our "christian themed" games have not had any great success, mainly because the "christian" gaming scene is small.

Secondly, when someone claims "God told me", I have by the years learned to activate my skeptic code (my.skeptic =on;) at that point. The reason is the more that some people claim that, the more often they go astray. I domn´t want to offend you in any way, it´s just my experience.

Thirdly, I do not personally like such a strong division, WE CHRISTIANS and those others. We are all equal in front of God.

Fourth: Christianity says to us: "do to others what you want them to do to you." If you want people to help you, then help them, do not ask for only "true" christians to help you. How would you feel if you asked for help and someone "not" christian said: well I help only none christians?

We are here to make games, that thing unites us, then it is up for anyone to make a game content of their own wish. I co-operate with any person regardless of religion or political beliefs when i make games!

I stronly recomend you to reflect the views and attitude you have. If you do, i think you will be wellcomed by many developers to co-operate and help each othere here.

From the perspective of logic quite obviously not, as we are really not all that equal in a literal sense to begin with...

I'd like to know who this game is supposed to be aimed at? NO NON-CHRISTIAN WILL TOUCH THIS GAME ergo you'll be preaching to the choir. As Zazang has said there is absolutely no market for Christian games, believe me people have tried.

Do you currently post on the Garage Games website as well? It seems like I've run across another Christian developer wanting to build an RPG there. Is it you?

I don't know how to respond to Zazang's comments about Christain games not selling, I have no data to support his comments, or refute them, but I think the change from the many fantasy based or SCiFi based RPG's on the market might be a breath of fresh air to many RPG players. (Don't laugh guys, Faith instead of magic, converting people to your side instead of bashing them in the head. these are some ideas that are fresh in the world of RPGs.)
