or you can get them all as FBX for 99 USD from truebones (wrongly mentioned in the forum to cost 199, it is 99):

That's awesome. grin

Many thanks for finding this site. Wonder why I didn't come across this one when I searched some while ago.

Found some possibly useful animations for sword attacks. The site however is... horrible for previewing and downloading stuff grin
But it's free. sort of neutralizes the annoyance wink

yes, I found also some usable melee anims, but the begin/end are not looping properly, maybe good with other additional transitional anims, which is hard to find...

it is by Truebones (posted here stuff earlier), you can buy it in an enhanced pack in fbx format but it is really unclear for me what extra he offers. I asked him at UE4 forum but the answer is short and not descriptive at all...

Yes, I think most animations cannot be used out of box. Had the same issue with this huge free mocap database. However I was able to fix some things in Blender and get useful animations.

I will see if animation blending will work good enough once I have a basic set of animations done. Wanted to import everything in Unity, but it seems I'm already years behaind. I get legacy mode grin
I think I'm supposed to import the .bvhs (maybe with Unity bone naming?) not the blender model together with all animations.

Med however imported my test model with applied animations just the way I expected (meaning it's good, but needs some minor deletion of garbage keyframes I still had left somewhere in the file).

this guy is one of the most antipathetic people when you ask more information. after contacting him, I have the feeling those packs do not worth the money, maybe it is not true, but I just take the free stuff nothing more...
