Hi there, I was wondering if everyone could come up with a list of moderling softwear that will work on vista as i am working on a tv show and i need one that works on vista as i cannot use my 3ds no more.

blender works on vista mac linux.

Why can't you use 3DS any longer? I am running MAX on Vista? What version do you have? Virtually all 3D software runs on Vista: modo, Lightwave, 3DS MAX, Maya, Silo, XSI, Wings3D, Blender ... so just get the demos, work with them and pick the package you like and can afford.

I click to activate my adtervation code and it just stops working.

Then contact Autodesk to get your installation of MAX working. If MAX works for you then why purchase another 3D software?
