Ich spreche kein Deutsch, aber:

I remember the "Acknex Virtual Toolkit" that came on floppy disk, and included "SkapHandler" (or some such title).

My first exposure to 3dgs was in the early 2000's. The local software store(yes stores that sold box software lol!) had a "Game Programming Starter kit". I had seen a lower version that had the Geneses engine, but this one had 3dgs 5 'standard'. I ended up with the box set and caught the 3dgs bug.

This was it.. http://www.gamevortex.com/gamevortex/hard_rev.php/180/game-programming-starter-kit-50-pc.html

I bought also the Game Programming Starter Kit, 4.0 it was - and it included Genesis and a green book, "Game Design - Secret of Sages" (de: Game Design - Geheimnisse der Profis) from Marc Saltzsman. Oh my god, although Genesis was a complete bag of trash, this book was worth the buy. And: After that I bought a similar box (I guess it was en vogue back then) with A4 wink

GPSK4 was put together in a pretty crappy way... or was it 2.0? I can't remember. I think I lost the box.

That was my first gamestudio, too, Malice -- "Starter Kit 5.0" with A5 Standard and that amazing Game Design book HeelX mentioned. I think I still have the book somewhere. I used to read it over and over again!
