where are the contest entries ?

isnt the deadline for the "create something" contest pretty close, wondering why i havent seen any entries at all.. or is it that everyone's working on such huge entries that they need every second....

nothing is impossible. the problem is that most contests are centered around a special thing like creating a certain code set or whatnot. and everyone who isnt good at that special thing is left out.
i for example cant enter most contests becasue i am a writer and designer. so this would have been my chance to enter the cotnest and win a pro version i simply cant afford to buy.
but since my project is not done yet and there is "no chance" of pushing back the deadline its bad luck for me...

lol understand but werent you aware of the contest for some time ? its a 3months duration, either way, it would be unfair for those that pushed hard to meet the deadline, not that we'd all mind the extra time, i get your point though, but also, why do you need a project thats 'done' to enter the contest

i started the project in time but unforseen events made it take longer than expected.
i need the project to be done because in the current state, the humor is missing and the enemies are stupid as f**k.
see, i wanted to enter with the final version of grunts as a demo but unfortunately redeemer is limited in his time.

i dont blame him. i really dont. its just too bad

Just a quick update: we have got 8 contest entries so far; one of them (the one from You Long) has several corrupted files. I have sent confirmation emails to everyone.

What?! How is that possible? The game's not trying to access any special directories. All of the data is in one folder, there should be no problems...

Well, this sucks big time. We've almost made it! I'm looking at the online manual now, and I'm 99% certain this can not happen.

EDIT: Hold on... I think preload_mode is doing this. I have it set to 3+16, meaning it only loads files from a resource. I did this because it prevents users from replacing the game's files with their own, but I didn't realize it could do something like this!

@spike: sent you an email that details how to quickly fix this.

Last contest I was in I think the contest deadline wasn't until the whole world had reached the deadline, so I think you still have some hours (it's only 10pm Feb 28th here, for example, and Tonga's quite a few hours behind us).

To be honest, i think this is really unfair. Everybody tried to finish their games before 1st march, but we already have 2nd march and the entries are still coming. If you told me that before, then i could finish my entry, fix some bugs and add my singleplayer version -.-"

I wouldn't have used it, but that particular entry was finished several days ago.
