Free web hosting

I'm offering FREE web site space to people that really need it as my contribution. The space will consist of a SUBdomain with unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, ect.. If you have a web designing program you could build a nice site too. The people I'm looking for have good working contributions, unable to afford they're own web sites, are currently using other annoying free sites, not to mention any names here, cough-rapidshare-cough, cough-photobucket-cough. So just post here if you think you qualify or are just plain interested and I'll see what I can do.
I will host any files you may need as well aside from the site hosting. So if you don't need or want an actual site get your files to me and I'll host them and post links.

Simple rules:
No porn or links to porn,
Must be Gamestudio related material; doesn't have to be 100% Gamestudio but there must be some,
No racist material of any kind.

An ADDON DOMAIN will cost me $10.00/year to register the domain names with Bluehost's registrar so if you want an addon domain I have to charge for the registered name. There is still no charge for the actual web space though just to register the site name.

I'm interested in one. I'm developing Plugins and 3rd Party programs for 3D-Gamestudio for a long time now (see e.g. GED) and am in heavy need of a good webserver.

I came across a free webserver host that almost seemed to good to be true.
I've been trying it out for some time and it works great.
It's based in Switzerland and it's going to be free "as long as it exists".

You get free webspace (5GB), no advertisements, PHP5, 50 MySQL Databases, lots of free addons can be installed...

Nice hosting there. The only thing I don't agree with is their claim to %100 uptime, no such thing. Even my host had to go down two times in 5 years for 3 hours. Once for routine maintenance, once for a complete server changover.

That doesn't sound to nice, I agree. But it basically allows them to display your files publicly, which is the purpose of such a service, right? And you can remove it (pictures, video etc.) and then they can't us it anymore.

But I agree, I don't think they should have that much power over the customers property.

This is the problem with most free hosting offers, there's always a catch. Which is one of the reasons I started hosting. There is no catch with me. No advertising of any kind on any pages, your files will be safe, I check your sites from time to time from your URL's not through your internal folders, I respect all legal content within your sites. I can provide you log files periodically so you can keep track of traffic to your sites.

IRC illegal? What?

by what is said regarding IRC is that the webserver is not allowed to be used as a IRC host, thats from what I understand form the deal I got with my webhost

Subdomains are free. For a domain you will have to pay the $10.00/YEAR for the domain name registration. I don't charge for the space itself but Bluehost, my host, charges me for each addon domain name registration. I don't get a cent of that either. You can check it out at www.bluehost.com

what if we already own a domain name?

Bluehost still wants the registration of the domain name, $10.00/year, which I have to pay because the site would be under my account. Transfering your site would create your own account. Bluehost would then want the yearly price of $98.00 for your domain from you ($6.95/month). See here: www.bluehost.com
If you dropped your current registrar and registered with Bluehost through me you would only have to pay the $10.00/year but the site space would be free.

I'm not concerned about the exact amount. I can pay the $10.00 myself and figure out how to get it from you later. This way I can at least set up the domain. I didn't know Bluehost was going to charge for registering the addon domains. The first one, Fleshhead.com, Bluehost didn't charge me for. Apparently I got the first one free, sheesh, lol. At least Bluehost isn't charging another $100.00 for each additional site space.
