MATCAP TECHNIQUE
Material Capture is a image based shading technique that permits you to achieve complex lighting setups with a very low processing cost. This is the technique which zbrush uses for matCap materials. This shaders is better fit when you have a non changing point of view. No lights are used.
BUMP MAPPING
The shader allows for bump mapping. You can set your own tangent space normal map in the skin 2 of the model or use the flatNormals.bmp instead.
MATCAP TEXTURES
There you have some examples of MatCap textures. You can create your own by taking a photo of a full/partial reflectant sphere or you can simply render one in your favourite 3D software.
