Thread about mdl to fbx with last 6 months. Can't be done in full as I know. Be sure to not the export fbx version and the import modul 2005 export will be corupt in 2015 fbx import.
Why the need for a backward move, usually we go fbx to a final mdl

Hmm. that doesn't sound promising.. I Need to export my database of models I've made over the years to be used with unity.

Not that I am inclined to help in that case. MDL7 has a structure and max has the pluggin ability, you could skip fbx , write and import from mdl to 3dsmax then export to fbx or whatever.

you can use Assimp and use their import/export ability to load MDL5 (so no bones or multimesh) and convert them to DAE/COLLADA

I personal find this a bulls88t post. We, or I, told you not to model in med. We, or I told you to use blender or 3dsmax. You would not have this problem if you listened to others. But I guess your the Unity forums problem now. By the way, seen and been fixing your code lately. Crap!.More focused on writing a stamp on a unstampable medium then, writing working code. Here is a hint, you aint not researcher, so we all can write your code. and ALL better. Please mark your uninformed tutorials as such, and next time you challenge a whole community, please actually be skilled enough to school said community!
No more education need you said? Yeah right... Plant to under-mind a community, yes.
