New Acknex Unlimited Page

Hello JCL

We all know that the new web page is ready and looks good. Can you tell us when a page will be installed, because already a lot of time passed since the page was completed?

We just have not yet filled it with content, which will take a while.

BTW I've taken the freedom to change your user name, just for avoiding confusion.

Why you not give server access to George or one of the trusted moderators, and this can be done in one week, because there is already a scheme for setting picture size and text. I know it's a big job writing text and making scrennshots for each of contributions, but what if community make this job and send zip files? I am sure that many of us want help. Then whoever it regulates only remains to copy text, upload files and rename links, and it would go very fast. BTW, many contributions that are outdated should be left on the old page and set only the best ones on new. Please talk with George and see what is the best.

what about doing this job scripted? afaik each contribution is a zip file with a readme.txt at root level.

Just scan with a script through the contributions, peek the readme file and insert the readme as a description, use the old image and name.

it should be overhauled later as the contribution images are quite small, but it would do for some time
