extract .wrs

hello, how i can extract my own .wrs data? i need it very much, because a virus has infected my pc and i uploaded my game to a file hoster, but i forgot that it was a wrs data. if you want, i can send you my wrs data.

you have to know the filenames of the files, then you can read them and and write to a new file.

if you don't know filenames, you can't extract it. this is what wrs is for, protecting your content.

But, you get a 'magic key' at the end of resourcing a game, isn't that any good for extracting your wrs?

i dont know if you get something after packing, so i was just making a suggestion.

i know some filenames.
btw i dont need all files only some of them

You can extract files from your WRS when you know the file name and they end with ".pak". Otherwise you could send in your WRS file to Gamestudio support and they'll extract the files. However you'd need either a support ticket, or the 12 months support period from a Pro Edition.

and can you tell me how i can extract?

e.g.: (from the manual)

// unpack a packed a text database file from the game resource
file_cpy("database.txt","database.pak");

i tried this, but it only copies the wrs data and rename it to xxx.mdl

can someone give me an example?

file_cpy("model.mdl","model.pak");

but when you dont know this, I think you dont have any .pak files anyway.

This is what happend at me:
i´ve renamed XT.wrs to XT.pak.
then created a script. file_cpy("ix_lalal.mdl","XT.pak");
then acknex copies the xt.pak data and renames it to ix_lalal.mdl(the name of the model)
how i can extract my model?
it only copies the XT.wrs.

I think you confused something. You must not rename the WRS file. Its name must be .wrs, otherwise you can't extract .pak files.

I guess the only way on your case is contacting support.
