How far do physics carry in a game? - 04/26/05 20:01

Like...
Is the player pushing a block physics?
How about when a barrier (Like a peg) is removed, the block will fall?

Hello Architect:

I noticed you are having difficulty having your question answered/asked.
I'm trying out a new system of instruction for people just like you and questions just like yours...I think perhaps it might be useful for you.

As a trial of this system and to get word of mouth going, I'm willing to waive the normal hourly rate for you and give you 30 minutes of dedicated, web based, teleconferenced instruction FOR FREE.

My only requirement is that if you find the time useful, you let these boards know.
And if you don't find the time useful, you'll let ME know so I can update my system.

Send an email to ricardo@futur-e-scape.com if interested to set up an appointment.

just because the guy is a newbie... and is having a lil trouble with his question...

why all the sarcasm...

is this how you people intend to treat any newbie... someone asking for help... possibly a new licensee...

geeeez... give the guy a break why don't ya...

Re: How far do physics carry in a game? - 05/06/05 13:56

trolling again 'lane...

i didn't go anywhere... i just got tired of responding to a lot of what i considered childishness... especially some of the stuff coming from your end of the universe... some of us do have a life, and have things to do that are more important than sitting at a keyboard, playing games with you...

so, now... even if i try to ignore you, you seek me out to bait me...

i'm asking you in a mild, even toned manner to leave me alone...

don't push me past the point of reason young man... you will regret it...

What?...I apologize if I have somehow erred or insulted some or many people. Perhaps this is on another thread that I failed to check. But...What is wrong with asking if a player moving a block in thegame counts as physics. I am not very familiar with this yet, evidently as you can see.So, can simply have a direct answer (unless that was yes ello) If you require more clarity....
Is a cube that is present in the game movable by the player's Avatar in the game?
How about if there is, say a peg under a suspended block (when the level is running), that is then removed. Will the block fall, or is that physics? Sorry for any offense that I somehow inflicted.

Oh man I don't f***in' believe what I've read here. Is this useful board going to turn out to be a whole kindergarden?
@Red Ocktober -> It's obvious even to me that, objectively, the trouble began when you showed up here. Other than that, I'd advise you to use dots, questionmarks and so on because it makes your post a hell of a lot more readable, but this has nothing to do with the above.
@fastlante69: Although it is clear that R.O. started the whole thing, it is bad enough of you to even answer on such statements. Apart from that, posts stating such things like your "offer" belong to User Contributions or Jobs Offered. I'm not quite sure but, anyway, those things do most certainly not belong to a threat which is about game physics!

Not trying to play the judge, just trying to state the whole thing objectively.

I have to say I agree.
