playing Video files

I am creating an project which is basically a game that consists of Videos and Video loops with an Interface below.

I would like to use 3dgs for this, however, I need to know if 3dgs (acknex engine) supports video files.
If yes, what file typ, how reliable is it and does it support full hd videos?

yes, you can play videos on gamestudio: http://www.conitec.net/beta/amedia_play.htm no problem with hd videos afaik

Like all things, the video processing is getting long in the teeth with this engine.
