Overlay Digits

any idea, why the fonts/digits are overlayed with background?

I have tryed some flags but with no result..(with and without blur).

EDIT: Same color, but an other ambient. ...how to fix this?

Solution: Mixed the blur effect with darkness.

I would have suggested that perhaps your font file is slightly transparent. Is it a png?

No, it isnt, just a Windows Font.
Bmaps are DDS Dxt 3. TRANSLUCENT not set. It s an optical illusion (cause i have saved a Screen Picture and set an other color around the text)
