What is the minimum video requirement for the A8 engine? I know it says 64 MB 3D video card so I got 2 work station. One using decent video card which runs A8 smoothly but the other one use VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP which is a 64MB to test my work on old PC. Problem is the game won't run and just throws memory error which means it cannot find a specific function or API for to process the video.
I like working with 3DGS since it's compatible even with old video card. But now I'm stuck in A7 which is falling behind from A8 new functions.

Card needs to be directx 9 compatible.

but why doesn't A8 run on the old PC and A7 does?

They changed the required DirectX build some time ago. This means that you may have DirectX 9.0c installed, but an old build and thus may need to install a recent build of DirectX 9.0c.

As I can remember when reading the change log, directx update for 3DGS was implemented during A7.8. But will try updating the directx9 to latest build which is I think somewhere 2011.

Try with -w3d cl option, maybe helps.

I had similar problems with my old laptop with an old intel video card. it was incompatible with A8 (because does not supports fully all directx 9.0c features), so I used A7 longer than wanted...

:S I think I'll be stuck with A7 for awhile until I sort things out.
