Engine freeze at startup

Engine freeze at startup - 09/25/12 09:24

Hi,

since I'm using A8.40.3 the engine often freeze for a short time during startup. A black surface appears over the engine status window. After 5-10 seconds it disappears and the application runs as usual. The problem appears in window and fullscreen mode. Has anybody had the same problem?

Thx.

If you are using a not regularly registered version this could cause the problem so you had to live with that.
Otherwise you could ask in the "Ask the Developers"-Forum.
By the way, what operation system are you using?

Hi,

I'm using a regularly registered version of course. I bought the pro edition for my technical work because I needed some functions which are not included in the commercial edition.
It's anyway curious that people always ask first if someone use an illegal version just because it's a pro edition. smirk
But back to topic: I'm using win7 pro 64bit. But the problem seems to be gone by itself.
But if you have still an idea please tell me!
Thx.

You don't edit a shader sometimes that takes 5-10 seconds to compile (or multiple shaders, of course)?

It's the combination of almost no posts and the pro version. It's a pattern that matches again and again... grin

No, I don't edit a shader or anything what would take 5-10 seconds.

I guess you should contact the support then (Forum or e-mail).
