Server 2003 problem - 09/14/09 13:49

I am nearly ready to start serous beta testing through a server and run in to a problem.

Using:
windows server 2003 on a dedicated quadcore server. This server is running in a data center, no problems with routers or ports.

Gamestudio A7 professional
Anet plugin for net work.

I have set video_mode to 0 and video_screen to 0

The servergame runs fine on my PC.

On the dedicated server the servergame closes down with a Direct3D error, or if ran in -nv mode without visible error.
As its a professional dedicated server, installing Direct3D is not an option.

Running the file with -w3d does not make a difference.

older versions didn't work with windows server 2003 at all, i've tried that. i think they have fixed that in A7.7.
which version are you using?
c-lite or c-script code?

A7 pro 7.80, I always update to the latest version and try to keep to the lite-c code.

Problem solved. The standard port of Anet (2300) is equal to the port opened in -sv mode.
