Hi everyone,
I'm using A6 Commercial (6.31.4), and am trying to use the physics engine to make a rotary merchandiser game. This is the game you often see at carnivals and fairs with a bunch of prize pucks rotating on a big metal platform, and there is an arm in the center. You buy a credit, and push a button to "sweep" the arm out a bit, or a lot. You try to push prizes off of the side into your chute, or at least close to the edge so you can get them in another go. I have a picture up at my webpage,
http://www.geocities.com/tricopticus/; it's the second picture, with the word Sweeper in it.
Just wondering in general how I would go about this with either of the physics engines. As far as the documentation, it says it only recognizes spheres and boxes as bounding shapes for physics, where cylinders would be the absolute ideal.
My carnival skill games page can probably explain it better than I can. I just got the engine, so I still have a few months of support, though I'm not sure it covers technical questions.
Thanks so much everyone!
Daniel
