If you don't even see IG in the scrollbox, the most obvious reason would be that you don't have Java SDK 32 bit installed, or you have installed it but not set correct values for you PATH variables. Check the log in the IG plugin directory. That should give you a hint as to why you can't connect. Also I would recommend editing the properties file in wordpad, notepad++ or similarly, not notepad.
Stop losses are currently normal, and there is no way to change that. Might be something to add in a future update, though I'm not sure if there are any further restrictions to using guaranteed stops that would affect Zorro in some way.
