Unfortunately the game will not be releasing next week due to a license issue I ran into with Mysql. I was using a .dll that allowed me to conenct my game to an online database directly, but it required libmysql.dll to be distributed with my client. I contacted Mysql but the price ranges were much to high for me to afford so I will have to re-write the way I do all my database work. I believe I will do with it with HTTP and a php+mysql backend on a rented server. Meaning there wont be any Oracle files at all included in my game hence no embedding license issues. Let this be a warning to other developers, make sure you have everything in written document before you make a considerable time investment programming something that requires a licensed file no matter how small you think it may be. Even if they tell you it's free commercially one the phone at one point, 3 years later they can say different and have full rights to stop you in your tracks from releasing. So always get everything in writing never take anyone's word for it. And if you can't get permission in writing or pay for it, then don't spend any time developing it. Live and learn I guess. But this isn't going to kill Silas. I just gotta port it over to a new method of database communication. I hope it wont take more than another month or two.

You connected directly with your game to an mysql databse? Lucky you that you can't afford the plugin because, excuse me, this is pretty stupid. Everyone with a bit knowledge could then connect to your database and edit all entries as well as create new ones. I don't know if you save sensitive stuff in there and if the database is only there for your game or if its shared also with an dynamic website, but anyway, never ever let something like this happen!
And if you use PHP, don't forget to validate the user input, otherwise there is alot of mysqli potential.

With validating I mean that you don't allow user names like this: JustSid"); DROP TABLE users
If you just pass everything the PHP script gets down to MySQL, bad things will happen for sure.

Congrats! The launch trailer looks good, though a little dark at times, but it might be my screen. Hope this goes well!
