Hello,
I'm trying to find out if Jackstart still exists, or if anyone has a reliable means to take a 3dgs created game and wrap it in a signed .jar file which is run via Java Webstart and .jnlp files.
Working for US military customer, and users can't install exes or proprietary players or plugins, BUT they all have java 6 loaded and can run .jnlp initiated signed .jar via Webstart. Would like to start creating "serious games" for training and e-learning projects.
Sounded like jackstart (I recall, hope that's right) would be just the ticket, but last post was '08 and the website doesn't seem to exist any longer.
Any help or futher info would be appreciated, for this will determine us purchasing 3dgs. Im an Instructional Designer, not a programmer, but our programmer is a C/C++ kind of guy, not Java otherwise I would be looking at the jmonkey engine, but the quality of 3dgs is just so much better, and has editors easier for me to contribute to the project...
Thanks for any further info
