Hi guys,

I was editing some screenshots, playing around with the gamma and contrast settings in the software when I reconized that those settings improved the intensity of the level lighting to high degree. Now I`m asking myself if there`s any possibility to do this directly in the Acknex engine. I know that there`re settings like video_gamma that toggle the brightness, but as far as I know there`re no variables for changing the contrast or color intensity. Is there any trick to do this, for example a postprocessing shader that improves the intensity of colors on the screen?

original out-of-the-engine

Irfanview: More contrast, more color intensity, a little more gamma: is this possible directly in the engine via engine variables or Post processing?

I don't remember seeing a function for thise but a PP shader might work. Check out the ones on the wiki, there is 'brighten' one by Slin that can brighten or darken the scene, don't know if that's what your after, but worth a try.

The variables I know are

video_gamma

and

camera.ambient

Yes, but I need camera.contrast or camera.colorintensity laugh
I`ll see what I can do with postprocessing shaders. Thanks you all. If there´s any idea or download link left, just post it laugh

what do you think about this version?

Problem of pp-effects is that you can´t use the engine MSAA anymore, you had to use ChrisB´s plugin...
