A new public beta version 8.013 is available.

This version fixes the reported engine bugs of 8.010: You can now also publish a PhysX app with the free version, and an issue with the collision detection was fixed.

Please install this version in a new folder or in your previous A8 folder; do not install it in your old A7 folder. Test everything carefully and if you find a bug, please report it to the bug forum. Please disregard the ominous error messages when you start GED the first time.

There were some questions about upgrading to A8, I'll answer them in another thread.

Hello JCL,

a user is having a little problem with a8 commercial key, key8c.dta, there is no trial message or other problems(so far), he still seeing it as gamestudio trial on wed->help->about screen, but also he see his username/password and registered name.

He could check if he has two versions - A7 and A8 - on his PC. I had somehow my A7 key in the A8 folder and that gave some trouble.

There is indeed most likely some problem with installing into a wrong folder. If he can't fix it, he should contact Support, and give them the text on the About screen. They'll help.
