Dex you should take a look at your "Big studio" licensing.

I'm interested but there is no *.mdl supported.
I guess I import the *.fbx or *.x file and save it as mdl but I have no experience with that. What do I have to do to use them? Are the materials (textures and uv) (well) imported, too?

We mostly use fbx import for Gamestudio, though other formats work as well. We experienced no uv-problems so far. But sometimes you have to add textures manually after import.

The reason why we did not put mdl files in our packs is simple. We can write them from Fragmotion or Ultimate Unwrap easily. But they are way bigger than other formats because they include all textures in uncompressed format. This can make our packs double the original size.

Importing works nicely, good models.
