Hello,

today I want to show you something really special :
The M TEC Development - Developer Network at developer.m-tec-development.com

What is this?
It's something like the MSDN, but smaller and for topics you (the gs community) are interested. The pages contain sources, samples and tools for you and if you want, you may contribute something to the developer network, too.

Why this and not the GS Wiki?
Nothing against the GS - Wiki, but it's containing everything, our developer network contains only professional sources and tools. Interviews with professionals like Sebastian Leopold (XeXeS) and Samuel Anjam.

What has this to do with GS?
A lot, you'll find samples for C-Script/C-Lite, tools related to GS and interviews with GS developers there.

What is special for registrated developers
Registrated companys have access to beta tools, special sources and special and exclusive M TEC Development Support. Registrating is easy and free: Registrate Now!
Of course registration is not required but useful for professional GS developers who want the latest resources.

Now visit our Developer Network

Currently the pages are in a beta phase

Currently you'll find some interviews on the pages:

  • With Sebastian Leopold about Sylex4
  • With Samuel Anjam about Blender
  • With Kristian Korkeila about AI

Have fun on our pages , even if they're not completly finished now, but the interviews are already very interesting

Yeah, it's cool, not just because I was the first registrated developer there

We need more websites linked to eachother, like a good webring. It's not only good for the traffic on all sites, but it also should give others an very up to date idea about projects and work in progress...

Cheers

Why not the wiki? Professional resources? Why the heck don't you guys just add your stuff to the wiki? That's a lot easier and makes it professional. wiki users unite!

@mk_1: a look at the page would show you that only a part of this page is related to gamestudio, not the whole page, there are topics about our own game engine, our own scripting language, C++ topics and so on...

The wiki doesn't make a webring, if it does, then I'll be the first to put my stuff there, I probably will do anyways, but like I said, we need a really good webring, how much 3dgs users look into the wiki? euhm .. that's right, no wonder there's a 'revive the wiki' thread ... No offense, but the wiki is too much of an insider thing, or we should make effort to make it more visible somehow ,

Cheers

That's the joke about it. The wiki is an insider thing, yeah. Better contribute to it 'cause - no offense - Kohji's page's going to be an insider thing too.

@Matt Coles; Glad you did .

@Mk.1; Yes, I see your point, yet the wiki isn't as accessible as a normal homepage would be, let alone it would take further searching on the wiki to even be exposed as a developer, on the webpage it's a matter of clicking on 'registrated developers'. Maybe clicking the navigation link and searching the wiki can be considered equal, but I think a popular website would be more effective.

Furthermore I think the wiki will always be an insider thing, unless we seriously revive it for 100%, posting links to it right where we can not overlook them, but this webpage, or any webring can become way more, eventhough at the moment the site can be considered an insider thing too.

* checking the wiki for an appropriate spot *

Cheers
