Hi, How come this covers any other normal entity/models in a map?:
ENTITY* background_ent =
{
type = "background1.mdl";
flags2 = SKY | SCENE | SHOW;
}
I thought the scene flag should prevent that?

, ah how sweet of you sky box also has a similar (reported but unwanted to be unresolved) issue at about 0,71 (sqrt(2)) of clip far. , can that be done through script? (/without WED?)

they clip the environment not at clip_far, instead at 0.71*clip_far, but don't know why. just a guessing but, may it be because of this? or maybe because the corners of the cube are at clip_far distance so the center of the faces are at 0.71*clip_far because 0.71 ~= cos(45)... Salud!

Lol, didn't think it was true before I saw a recent video of someone scripting in DOS with OpenGL... PS.: It was amazing...
