I'm trying to make a boat racing game with alot of different characters/boats to choose from. What I need to know is:
Is it possible to have like a standard biped attatched to all of the characters and put any character in the drivers seat of any boat? Or should I just make the boat models with the player as part of the model? How difficult would it be to script a character selection thingy that allows me to put seperate characters in a seperate boat? Sorry, I didn't word that too well.

Of course it is possible....

You could save the positions of the seats of each boat. Then you let the player select his boat and place him on the corresponding position.

This way you can have multiple characters and boats....

But would the characters move strangely when the boat goes off a jump or crashes? How can I be sure that collision works or whatever? or would this be a problem at all?
