Almost, everybody has installed the flashplayer - what's the difference to install a different plugin.
I think the most - even casual game - players are used to have a plugin installed.
unity3d works with Mac, too, doesn't it?

Yes I am ok with installing a plugin, but clients arent happy. I can see it from their angle.
Also with flash, shockwave player etc, sure you have to install these but these are standard, users are not so happy installing less well known applications. It is also likely, by the time they come to the site ti view, their computer will have these installed, whereas, Quest 3D viewer etc, they will not be quite so likely.
My opinion is the java or QT vr idea using a Myst type interaction with hotspots is a good solution at this moment.
