I am not 100% clear on the future of lighting and shadowing in GStudio. (help?) Are we moving towards a dynamic light, all model geometry world building environment?
If shadow mapped worlds are going to continue to be a important part - It would be great if static meshes could cast shadows on the world geo.
I was going to try to create a plugin for generating shadowmaps for dynamic entity shapes instead of just flat terrains, but the current limitations of mesh functions killed it...
